It's been a while

Well, it appears I have been participating in my favorite pasttime for the past month and some change: procrastinating. I have had a birthday and enjoyed two holidays since my last blog and still I found no time to write anything new. That's my bad.
So many things have happened and the sad fact is that I don't really know much about them. I'm supposed to be in the military but I don't know what's going on in the world around me. I do know that my favorite A-merry-can football team (the Dallas Cowboys) are 10-1 and are set to face a team with the same record (the Green Bay Packers) so good luck boys! In other football news, Washington Redskins player Sean Taylor succumbed to gunshot wounds he incurred while defending his family and his home. My sincerest condolences go out to his family and I wish his family strength in this time of dire need. We, as black people, need to push for moregun control in this nation because it seems that guns seem to be doing the most damage in our communities and to our people as a whole.

Like a virgin, for the very first time

So, I'm actually going to take a shot at writing a somewhat interesting blog. The problem is, what should I write about? i could write about my own somewhat significant life here in North Carolina, but alas, I truly know nothing about North Carolina due to the fact that the only real reason I'm here is that Uncle Sam has decided his defenses needed my services in this particular state. Anybody who really knows me know that I complain about being placed in this particular state due to its lack of interesting locations in my opinion. Now don't get me wrong, North Carolina is not a bad state but it's just not a state that I would choose willingly to reside in but, hey, I go where I'm sent.

As you probably can infer from my opening statement, I'm in the military. Now I will not get specific with which branch due to government cronies perusing websites searching for statements to get people in trouble (we don't have enough personnel to find all the terrorists, but we do have enough to help infring on peoples' rights to free speech). All in all, I think I will focus on "The Struggle" (if you know what I'm talking about you are in the in, if not, oh well) and anything that particularly gets my pressure up.

Oh yeah, please don't refrain from leaving comments and/or advice. I really want to use this blog as a forum to conversate with other intellectuals seeing as how where I'm located right now there is a slight shortage.
